Skeleton Oil Seal describe
Rubber skeleton oil seals generally refer to rotary shaft lip seals, also called shaft seals. In addition, there are reciprocating rubber skeleton oil seals such as shock absorber oil seals and stem oil seals. There is also an oil seal between the two, that is, the rubber seal has both a rotating and reciprocating skeleton oil seal, such as an ultra-high pressure oil seal on a hydraulic motor and a steering machine.
Rubber skeleton oil seals come in many forms, except for the inner skeleton, the exposed skeleton, and the assembled double skeleton oil seal.
Features
Attention should be paid to the installation and use of sealing ring:
Can not install the wrong direction and damage the lips. If there are scars above 50μm on the lips, it may cause obvious oil leakage.
Prevent forced installation. Do not use a hammer to knock in, but use a special tool to first press the sealing ring into the seat hole, and then use a simple cylinder to protect the lip through the spline. Before installation, apply some lubricating oil to the lips to facilitate installation and prevent burns during initial operation. Pay attention to cleaning.
Prevent overdue use. The service life of rubber seals for dynamic seals is generally 3000～5000h, and new seals should be replaced in time.
